Summary:

The CREDO Research Study Planning and Governance Module should help you to learn about how to set up a clinical research study, including how to find and apply for funding and some important concepts such as the role of the study sponsor, clinical study insurance and the different kinds of contracts that are commonly used to set up clinical research studies.

Intended Learning Objectives:

By the end of the module, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify potential sources of study funding and prepare grant applications
  2. Identify a study Sponsor and describe the role and responsibilities of the Sponsor
  3. Describe the difference between clinical study insurance and professional liability
  4. Describe the basic elements of the different kinds of contracts used in clinical research
