Executive summary
The Next Generation Scientist (NGS) Program is a university accredited annual 3-month research internship for Masters, PhD and post-doctoral level scientists and clinicians from low and middle-income (LMIC) countries. The program wasinitiated in 2011 and is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of experienced Pharma and University scientists.
 
Program Overview


  1. Increase the volume and quality of healthcare research in previously underserved parts of the world

  2. Educate and train motivated scientists and clinicians who plan to contribute toward strengthening healthcare systems in their home countries

  3. Enhance scientific leadership skills and expose interns to state-of-the-art research methodologies and leading experts while ensuring implementation within home infrastructure

  4. Identify strategic partnerships with academic and research institutions in low and middle income countries
