We are pleased to announce that the Global Health Technologies Coalition has significantly expanded content in the Global Health Regulatory Requirements Database. Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and housed at PATH, we seek to foster collaboration and build expertise to accelerate the movement of global health technologies developed by product development partners through regulatory pathways.
Launched in early 2013, the Global Health Regulatory Requirements Database features regulatory information for 25 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The database assists the broader R&D community with navigating regulatory requirements to gain approval to conduct clinical trials and market products.
In this round of updates, we verified all existing information in the database and introduced new sections that provide more detailed information on the following:
- Country collaborations with the World Health Organization (WHO) on regulatory processes and capacity building
- Insurance and liability requirements
- Labelling requirements
Since last year, we have introduced the following new countries into the database:
- Bangladesh
- Ghana
- Malawi
- Malaysia
- Nepal
- Peru
- Russia
- Ukraine
If you have any comments or suggestions on the database, including any content or countries you would like to see added, please contact Tricia Aung.
