    I liked this guidance comment too: "The DSMB should monitor measured confounders and highlight any situation in which possible imbalance has occurred, so that study investigators can report on any violation of the trial protocols."

    I really liked this comment : DSMB's are needed for "trials in which there is uncertainty about whether the data will lead to changes in the trial design"
