About: Dr. Sofía Romero Peralta studied Medicine at the University of Alcalá de Henares (2005-2011) and specialized in Pneumology at the University Hospital of Guadalajara (2012-2016). During his training, he expanded his studies in sleep pathology in Manhattan, New York at various centers accredited by the American Academy of Sleep, including The New York University Sleep Center located at Bellevue Hospital, Sleep Medicine Associates of NYC, and Dental Sleep Apnea New York (specific training in sleep dentistry). He has worked in the reading and interpretation of sleep studies at the Santa Cristina Hospital in Madrid. He currently works at the Sleep Research Institute in Madrid, and at the Sleep and Non-Invasive Ventilation Unit of the Guadalajara University Hospital in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. He is also doing his doctoral thesis based on Sleep Medicine and is a member of different scientific societies related to pulmonology and sleep pathology.
