About: Dr. Helaly graduated from the Faculty of Nursing. She began her international education at Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh, UK to become a professional leader in nursing education, training and development. She earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Education at QMU, leading to Fellowship of the Advance Education Academy, UK. In March 2021, she was awarded a Professional Doctorate Degree in Education in Health and Social Science by the QMU’s Senate, Edinburgh, UK. Dr. Helaly has more than 25 years of working experience in Hospitals and academic institutions (Egypt, and Middle-East). Dr. Helaly began her career in nursing education, training and professional development by working as a pre-registration internship programme leader. She progress to lead a work-based research project in a non-profit healthcare organization in Egypt to develop a competency based nursing performance framework and a competency-based preceptorship model. Her journey towards building the leadership capabilities of Egyptian nurses is always on-going. She currently has the opportunity to work as a Nurse Consultant at a charity organization. She has responsibilities to support senior nurses to become effective leaders through empowering them to develop, implement, and evaluate the three-year nursing strategic plan (2021-2023).
