About: I am an emergency physician. I graduated from the University of Padova in 1991, and specialized in Internal Medicine in 1996, again at the University of Padova. I got my PhD in "arterial and venous diseases" from the University of Amsterdam in 2003. I also specialized in Radiology at the University of Ferrara in 2006. I am Director / Instructor of many international courses, including ACLS, PALS, ATLS, ITLS, Emergency Airway Management, and Emergency Ultrasonography. Currently I am the head of the Emergency Department of three Italian hospitals (Treviso, Conegliano, and Vittorio Veneto), accounting for some 190.000 visits per year. I'm also in charge of a 30-bed semi-intensive unit at the Hospital of Treviso.
