About: Elizabeth Mamie Sam -nee Sevali, also commonly known as Betty Sam is a State registered and certified Nurse midwife with over 20 years experience working in Sierra Leone. Worked with various organisations including the Ministry of Health and Sanitation. Currently serves as Senior Technical Officer with the Centre for Maternal and Newborn Health, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Sierra Leone. Trained in Sexual Reproductive Maternal and Newborn Health. Has expertise in capacity building and operational research in several Maternal and newborn health including mentorship, emergency obstetric and newborn care all geared toward improving quality of care.
