About: I graduated with a Master of Public Health and Health Officer (HO) from Bahir Dar University and the University of Gondar respectively. I also graduated as a Clinical Nurse in Nursing from Bahir Dar Health Science College. Furthermore, I had been attending many professional pieces of training and workshops including TOT to sharpen my knowledge and skills. Currently, I am working as Regional HIV case surveillance advisor at ICAP, Amhara Region from Nov 24, 2022, to date. I was working as Regional HIV Case Base Surveillance Officer at ICAP in Amhara Regional Office from May 27, 2019, to Sep 29, 2022. I was supported in planning, organizing, and implementing a capacity building, continuous and periodic supervision/mentorship, site readiness assessment and activation, data analysis and visualization, and provision of constructive feedback. I am more familiar with using all Microsoft features, REDCap, DHIS2, ODK, and Epi-sample tools and applications. I have excellent experience in HIV CS and was fully engaged in system strengthening and program implementation. I also worked in Program for Appropriate Technology in Health/Malaria Control and Elimination Partnership in Africa (PATH/MACEPA) as Zonal Surveillance Officer at Debre Markos, East Gojjam. I was supporting Zonal Health Department (ZHD), Woreda Health Office (WorHO), Primary Health Care Unit (PHCU), Health Extension Workers (HEW), and community-based surveillance assistants in training, and follow-up, supportive supervision, Monitoring & Evaluation, and provision of feedback. Moreover, I was working on proper data management through DHIS2 web-based data management tool. I have working experience as Surveillance Technical Officer in JICA, Amhara Regional Infectious Disease Surveillance Project, Bahir Dar. I also worked as Zonal EPI and Cold chain management Officer/Expert in West Gojjam Zone Health Department, so I have ample experience in clinical and public health activities from the community to regional level.
