
Philippe Horellou
About: Dr. Philippe Horellou studied medicine and biology before receiving his PhD from Pierre and Marie Curie University in 1991 in Neurobiology. He worked on gene therapy approach in models of Parkinson's disease in the laboratories of Pr. Jacques Mallet in Gif-sur-Yvette and Paris, France and of Pr. Anders Björklund in Lund, Sweden. In 2000, he headed a research team on cancer gene therapy in the laboratory of Dr. Anne Weber and joined in 2005 the laboratory of Pr. Marc Tardieu, U1184 (IMVA), now headed by Pr. Roger Le Grand, in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, France. In connection with Dr. Kumaran Deiva, coordinator of the Reference centre for inflammatory diseases of the brain at Bicêtre Hospital, he works on neuroinflammatory diseases in the team of Pr. Xavier Mariette, a leading a group in autoimmunity.
