Her main line of research merges two very prevalent conditions in the population: allergic pathologies with an early onset, which tend to become chronic, and olfactory dysfunctions that generate a great impact on the quality of life of patients with a close relationship with nasosinusal inflammation (allergic rhinitis, nasal polyposis, respiratory disease exacerbated by taking anti-inflammatories, biological treatments), post-viral infections (SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses), head trauma and neurodegenerative diseases. The creation of the Olfactory Unit in the Allergology Service and the InOIA group has made it possible to consolidate this firm line of research and collaborate with other specialties, as well as generate synergies with other groups, globally promoting talent in the National Health System.
