Juliana Ribeiro Constante

About: Dr. Juliana Ribeiro Constante has a degree in medicine from the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with a specialty in pediatrics. During her carrier she completed her formation in biological sciences at the University of Nevada in Reno, US and have done observerships at the Rheumatology department at Northwestern University in Chicago and at Neuropediatrics department in the Hospital Infantil de Gatien de Clocheville in Tours, France. Subsequently, she continued her training with a fellow at the neurology department of Sant Joan de Déu Hospital (Barcelona), where she is currently doing a Masters Degree in Neuropediatrics from the University of Barcelona. Throughout her training and clinical experience, she has deepened into the biochemical, molecular and genetic bases of brain metabolism, and has developed a special interest in the knowledge of neurometabolic diseases and synaptopathies. She actively participates as a pre-doctoral clinical researcher in the "SYNGAP1 Spain" project, within the framework of developmental encephalopathies research.
