About: Simon is an enthusiastic Public Health student driven by passion and desire to promote the health of communities and individuals through research and advocacy. Simon has a background in global public health. Currently, I holds certificates in epidemiology for global health (professionaldevelopment) , project management in global health (professional development), leadership and management in health (professional development), Policy and Advocacy for global health (professional development) from the University of Washington, Department of global health. I have years experience in epidemiologic study designs, Disease surveillance, disease control and prevention. I am competent in using statistical softwares and tools( Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, epiData, etc). Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor degree Public Health where I specialize in disease control, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ghana. As a member of professional associations such as Ghana Public Health Association(GPHA); Ghscientific organization, I subject myself to the best standards and practices. Currently, I am the Deputy General Secretary for the Ghana Public Health Association(GPHA), a registered and recognized association by the World Federation of Public Health Associations(WFPHA); also a writer for the Ghscientific organization where I writes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics(STEM) articles. My interest areas are in Epidemiology, Disease Control and Prevention, Public Health policy, public health leadership and management, project management, Health systems strengthening.
