About: My name is Abubakar Umar Musa. I am a Haematologist with UDU Sokoto who tutors haematology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and also provides specialist care for patients with haematological disorders at UDUTH Sokoto. After my basic degree (MBBS; 2003) from ABU Zaria, I acquired a fellowship in Haematology (FMCPath 2014) from the NPMCN and PhD (2022) in clinical haematology from ABU Zaria. My major areas of research are haemostasis, thrombosis and bleeding disorders particularly in complicated pregnancies such as pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. In the course of my training, I had participated in a number collaborative studies that culminated in published peer-reviewed articles and improved patients' management. Presently, while I teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students, I also strive towards providing specialist care for patients with venous thromboembolic diseases and bleeding diseases. Furthermore, I have passion for researches in thrombosis and haemostasis and looks forward to research opportunities in these areas as a means of improving my skills and thus contribution to betterment of humanity.
